GCU Club Baseball
When I first took a look at the GCU Club Baseball Instagram, it was clear the account was just existing, not performing. There was little engagement, no real strategy behind the content, and it didn’t reflect the energy, competitiveness, or personality of the team. I saw an opportunity to turn it into something more, so I pitched myself as a student volunteer social media manager and photographer and stepped into the role from October 2023 through August 2025.
From there, I built and executed a content strategy focused on bringing the team to life online. That meant capturing high-quality game day photography, creating engaging Reels, dialing in posting consistency, and producing content that balanced performance highlights with personality-driven moments. The goal was simple: make the audience feel like they were part of the team, not just watching from the outside.
And the results followed. The account grew by over 1,000 followers, Reel views consistently hit the 5k–10k range, engagement increased by 15%+, and posts regularly saw 100+ likes. Profile views also saw a strong jump from 85.9K to 100.9K. More importantly, the page developed a stronger identity, elevated its overall brand presence, and built a more connected and engaged community around GCU Club Baseball.
